Huțulca Narrow-Gauge Railway
A slow ride on a forest railway between Moldovița and the Obcine hills.
Huțulca is not a quick transfer but an experience in its own right. The narrow-gauge train leaves Moldovița slowly, while forests, meadows, and Obcine homesteads pass at a pace a car cannot offer.
Check departures and book ahead during busy periods. Pair the ride with Moldovița Monastery and keep a few hours for the village, station, and the return point.
The forest railway was built to carry timber from the Obcine hills and is now one of Bukovina’s most vivid railway experiences. Its slow pace keeps the journey connected to the landscape and villages along the route.
