Bukovina Village Museum
An open-air village of traditional homes, workshops, and working installations from Bukovina.
The Bukovina Village Museum is not a row of houses but a walk through a reconstructed village of lanes, homesteads, a church, school, tavern, and workshops. Each building comes with a place and a story from Bukovina.
Allow at least two hours and wear comfortable shoes: this is an open-air museum. It is one of the best stops for understanding the work, neighbourhoods, and rhythm of a traditional community.
The museum was designed as an open-air Bukovinian village, with buildings moved from several localities. Its lanes, homesteads, and working installations show not only houses but how a community functioned.
